You may have been prompted to login. Many of our authors log in via Rakuten (click the black Rakuten box to sign in) but you may have set up your account using a partner login, such as Google or Facebook. See below for a full list of partner log in options:
Remember that your author account is connected to your account on the main Kobo store. That means that, even if you've never purchased a book on Kobo, you have a customer account. You must be logged into that customer account in order to get to your dashboard.
I can't log into my main Kobo account
Problems signing in to Kobo.com are most often caused by errors when entering the email address or password associated with your account, or by forgetting that you originally set up your account using your Google/Facebook/FNAC account.
If you're having trouble signing in to your Kobo account, here are some things you can try. If you reset your password, we recommend creating a new one you can easily remember, using letters, numbers, and common punctuation marks, but no special characters like $ or %, etc.
- Make sure you enter your username and password correctly. If you can't sign in, double check that you haven't left the CAPS LOCK button on, or have entered the number zero instead of the letter O, for example.
- If you've forgotten your password, select Forgot password? and follow the instructions. You'll be able to reset your password. If you are unable to reset your password, it's likely that you created your account using a partner site.
- If you sign in to Kobo using a partner account, like Fnac, Livraria Cultura, or bol.com, be sure to select the right one. Click Don't see your usual sign-in option? and select your partner account, then enter your partner account username and password.
- If you sign in to Kobo using your Facebook account, select that option. Click My Facebook Account, click Sign In with Facebook, and enter your Facebook account details.

Once you're logged in, you may see the option to purchase books only. To navigate to KWL, please go to kobo.com/writinglife and click "sign in". You can also use this link: https://writinglife.kobobooks.com/dashboard#dashboard/highlevel to go directly to your dashboard.

I have reset my password because it was displaying an error message when I try to login to my account.
The error message continues. The message displayed is:
Cannot contact reCAPTCHA. Check your connection and try again.
There is nothing wrong with my connection.
