Since ePub is a reflowable format - which is to say that the individual reader can change the font style and size, line and margin spaces and so on - the number of pages in an eBook is never set in place. This renders the idea of standardised page numbers redundant. They can still be added to a book but will only appear at given intervals in the margins on certain apps and devices. Users of Kobo eReaders, for example, can select whether to turn them on or off. They may also appear on eReading apps such as Adobe Digital Editions. We do not, however, recommend that you include them as they are an unnecessary complication to the formatting of your work. The number of pages in the eBook as defined by the user's settings, will appear automatically.
